This miniature conifer stays round in shape and gets only 1-2' x 1-2' in 10 years. The needles are short and a bright green. Small orange buds are showy in the winter. Prefers full sun and a well drained location. Excellent for the rock garden or a dry creek bed.

I would prefer more soil and less course wood chips when they are shipped. The chips fall away from the roots.

For potting mix, we use a coarse Douglas Fir bark based mix. It creates an excellent fibrous root system for great plant health. Any loose soil that comes off isn’t necessary for the plant, but it can sometimes make a little mess in the box. Thank you for your input.
